We will need to ask the applicant some of the following questions to determine client profiles. Being prepared with answers helps streamline the process and determine which lender policies will be suitable and if the policy criteria can be satisfied.

Who is the applicant?

What is the borrowing structure?

Sole Trader
Company
Trust
Director
Shareholder
Beneficiary

Does applicant have an ABN?

How long has ABN been active?

Is ABN registered for GST?

Is the director a property owner?

Is their spouse a property owner?

Is a finance reference available?

Are your financials up to date?

Do you have an accountant to provide advice?

What industry are you in?

Length of time in the same industry?

 

WHAT TYPE OF CLIENT ARE YOU?

This may determine which policy you fit into.

Do you own property?

Have you got savings?

Can you provide bank statements showing good conduct?

How long have you been in your current employment/industry?

Can your income be verified?

Do you have clean credit history?

 

Your profile might fit into one of the following categories.

TIER A
Home owner/buyer
Full time employed 3 years current job or industry continuity
Clear Veda
A rated previous/current credit reference where applicable
TIER B
Long term renter or home buyer
Fulltime employed > 1 yr (no more than 2 jobs in the last 3yrs)
Clear Veda
Satisfactory credit reference

Renter/Boarder/living with parents/home buyer
Short term full time/long term casual or part time > 3yr
